Jeffrey Furman, Tuba, has a degree from the State University of New York at
Stony Brook. He is a founding member of the Cross Island Brass Quintet, the
Long Island Tuba Quartet and the
South Shore Syncopators. He is also a member
of the Long Island Brass Guild, and the Sunnyland Jazz Band.
As an active
freelance musician, some of the groups that he has performed with are; the
Nassau Symphony, the New
York Pops Orchestra, the Banjo Rascals, the Symphonic Brass Alliance, Celebrations Brass, the New York Grand Opera Orchestra,
and the Gateway Classical Music Society. The Sunnyland Jazz Band can be seen on most Friday nights from 6:30PM to 9:00PM at Bonnie
Jean's Cafe in Southold http://www.bonniejeanscafe.com/. If Jeff's not playing, it will probably be Bill.
